Jesus Maria Garcia Jr., known to his friends as Jesse, aka La Camea, age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Alice, Texas. A man of great humor and even greater heart, Jesus was a dedicated provider who found his greatest peace on his ranch and while hunting in the outdoors. He worked most of his life as a truck driver in the oilfield. He was a pillar of strength for his family and was known for the deep, unwavering care he provided to his wife, Berta. Outside of his work on the ranch, he loved the excitement of the casino and cherished the time spent there with his grandchildren, especially the many trips shared with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his work ethic, and his role as a truly fantastic grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Garcia and Maria Jesus Garcia, his dear wife, Berta Garcia, and his eldest daughter, Belinda Garza, and siblings Joe Garcia, Lucila Ortega, Celia Gonzalez, Tavo Garcia, and Chelo Martinez. He is survived by his children, Jesus Rolando Garcia, Rosie Segura, Sylvia Garcia, and Zulema Maldonado; and his grandchildren, John Segura, Jesse Segura, Tammy Mendieta, Brandon Garcia, Bryan Garcia and his wife Amanda, Blake Garcia and wife Gabby, Jessica Garza, A-Jay Garza, Zachary Nunez, Sierra Maldonado and her fiance Jason Lopez, Loren Maldonado, Justin Lopez and wife Lizette, and Crystal Garcia.
