John P. Cardarelli of Burlington, MA has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.
What follows is a brief look at the life his family wishes to share.
To raise a child is to give the world a future. John did this with care.
John P. Cardarelli, 73, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved son of the late Emilio and Margaret (Kennedy) Cardarelli. John was raised in Woburn and went on to become a dedicated and hardworking professional, serving as one of three partners of RMC, Receivable Management Corporation in Woburn. He took great pride in his work and built lasting relationships through his integrity and commitment.
John met the love of his life, Angela (Peruzzi) Cardarelli, while they were both working at Hertz. They married and began a life together filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They shared 48 wonderful years of marriage and were truly inseparable. Whether taking walks around their neighborhood or relaxing together at Hampton Beach, they cherished every moment side by side.
A man who valued health, discipline, and an active lifestyle, John could often be found at his "second home," the gym. He loved biking, working out, and gardening, always staying busy and taking pride in maintaining both his health and his home. He was committed to staying physically fit and paid close attention to his diet, enjoying all kinds of vegetables and famously keeping a few peppers in his pocket for a quick, healthy snack.
John was known for his reliability and kindness. He was the person you would call when you needed help, dependable, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He took immense pride in his daughters' lives and in the lives of his cherished grandchildren. In the summers, he could often be found on Hampton Beach, even throwing on a wetsuit to join them in the ocean. A constant presence, John never missed a weekend game or activity, always there to cheer them on and celebrate their accomplishments. He had a way of making friends wherever he went, and the sidelines of his grandchildren's sporting events were no exception.
John is survived by his loving wife Angela (Peruzzi) Cardarelli of Burlington; his two beloved daughters, Lindsey Collins of Burlington, and her children Alexandra and Grant; and Kristin Panagiotis and her husband Will of Burlington, and their children Dominic and Gianna. John is also survived by his two sisters, MaryAnn Worsman and her husband David of Dennis, MA, and Nancy DeMaio and her late husband Mark of Woburn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church in St. Veronica Parish, 111 Winn Street, Burlington.
Arrangements are by the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, Burlington. Condolences to his family may be made at www.sullivanfuneralhome.net
