Joshua Alan Boehnke of Lake City, FL has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.
What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.
Joshua spent his working life as ['Brick Mason by trade until his health prevented him'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
The heart keeps better records than the calendar.
Joshua Alan Boehnke, 42, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born in Gainesville, Florida on September 24, 1983 to the late Ronald Edward Boehnke, Sr. & Kathleen Bancroft Miller. He has made Lake City his home all of his life and worked as a Brick Mason by trade until his health prevented him. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his son, grandson and all of his family as well as tinkering with car speakers and tending to his bearded dragons. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Shawn Boehnke, Ronald Boehnke, Jr. and Bo Hendrix.He is survived by his son, Aaron Boehnke (Renee) of Lake City; grandson, Bronson Boehnke of Lake City; and his sisters, Ayla Law (Chris) of Panama City, Kia Hendrix of Gainesville and Monica Hendrix (Ivan Otero) of Panama City. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.A celebration of life graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 3:30 P.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
