Kathryn "Kathy" A. Geaschel, 79, of Caseyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born April 28, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, to the late James and Elizabeth (née Buhalog) Daniel. Kathy was a cosmetologist for many years. She found joy in planting flowers, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with her family, whom she cherished deeply.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Geaschel, whom she married on May 23, 1976; her two children, Michael Geaschel of Collinsville, IL, and Nikki (Chad) Perkins of Caseyville, IL; three step-children, Cindy (Rick) Anderson, Robin Findley, and Laura Bean; grandchildren, Taylor and Zackery Perkins, Ricky and Kristin Anderson, Jack, Ally, and Laurie Findley; great-grandchildren, Chase, Braden, and Asher Anderson and Ava and Brooklynn Anderson; her brother, Don (Linda) Daniel; two sisters, Barbara Wettig and Debbie (Richard) Wooldridge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL 62234.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
