Kevin Allen Crain of Norman, OK has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.

What remains is what was loved.

Kevin Allen Crain, age 21, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Norman, Oklahoma on May 1st, 2026. Kevin was born alongside his twin brother Trenton on June 10, 2004, to Cole Crain and Sammy Jo Stevens in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kevin was the younger of the two by 17 minutes.

He was a fighter from the beginning. A young man of intellect and drive, Kevin graduated from Dewey Highschool in 2022. His passion for cooking eventually led him to Norman where he gained employment as a chef at the University of Oklahoma. Being a Sooner fan his entire life, this was a dream come true for him and one he was extremely proud of. Kevin enjoyed hunting, he was an avid music lover, and had a strong conviction for politics, deeply engaging himself in current events. He never let fear stop him from pursuing his goals. Funny, smart, loving, eager, and passionate; all words that exemplify who he was.

Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Patti Childers. His memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Sammy Jo Epperson and husband Jason; father, Cole Crain and wife Amy; brother Trenton Crain; sister Addison Crain; step brother, Liam Epperson; step sisters, Crystal Jordan and Mahria Baughn; grandparents, Tony Crain; Richard Stevens, Doug Childers and Tammy Powell; Aunt Afton and Uncle Clayton Schultz; Aunt Toni and Uncle Chase Meade; Aunt Taylor and Uncle Phillip Murphy; Aunt Amy Stevens and Uncle Monroe Stevens; and many cousins. Kevin was a beloved son, brother, nephew and cousin. His sudden departure leaves an irreparable void in the hearts of those who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kevin's honor to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) at afsp.org.

A memorial service will be held at Stumpff Funeral Home Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00PM.
