Laura J. Fleck of Huntington, IN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Laura J. Fleck, age 82, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Laura was born on October 5, 1943, in Terra Haute, IN, to the late Clarence and Luella (Cork) Roberts. She married Eugene "Gene" Fleck on August 7, 1965, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2021.
Laura graduated from High school in 1961 and earned her bachelor's degree in teaching from Indiana State in 1965. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Laura is survived by one son, Chris (Julie) Fleck, Fort Wayne, IN; two daughters, Carrie (Terry) Miller, Warren, IN, Lori (Jeff) Cox, Huntington; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Carter Fleck, and a granddaughter, Rae Cox.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Rosary to begin at 2:30 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. all at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
