The following words honor a life that mattered to many.
Family is the thread that runs through every story.
Lauralyn (née Juechter) Amoral, born November 2, 1959, to parents Phillip Juechter and Rosemary Weyer in Englewood, New Jersey, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Emerson, New Jersey, where she lived with her family. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her mother-in-law, Janet Amoral, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Geoffrey; her daughter, Nicole Amoral (Christopher Minck); her sister, Ellen Taylor (Ross); her brother, William "Billy" Weyer; her father-in-law, John Amoral; her brothers-in-law, Gregory (Robin Kane) and Gary (Synda); and her nieces and nephews, Jack Taylor, Emily Taylor, Madisyn Amoral, Cody Weyer, and Samantha Weyer.
Lauralyn graduated from Northern Valley Demarest in 1977 and attended Pace University, where she met many of her lifelong friends. She treasured those relationships deeply, and they remained a constant source of love, laughter, and connection throughout her life. Those early friendships were the start of something she carried through her whole life, an easy ability to form lasting bonds and stay deeply connected to the people she loved.
Lauralyn was outgoing, exuberant, and deeply passionate, with a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a gift for storytelling, never short on an unfiltered tale that could make others laugh and feel instantly connected to her. Her warmth, along with her signature dimples and radiant smile, could light up any room. A lifelong lover of music, especially The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen (a true Jersey Girl), she found joy in the things that brought people together.
Above all, Lauralyn was devoted to her family, who meant everything to her. She was a loving mother who took great joy in making life's moments special through the parties she hosted. These gatherings became famous among friends and family, not only for the love and energy, but also for the incredible food she lovingly made herself. Her cooking, rooted in cherished recipes passed down from her grandmother, "Mom," was one of her ways of bringing people together and showing love. She treasured staying close with her extended family and took pride in maintaining those connections, an ultimate texter. Her greatest pride and deepest passion were always her family.
Lauralyn's love, laughter, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
