Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, LA.Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, LA.Lois will be interred at St. John Cemetery in Charenton, LA.Lois Ann Pierre Toussaint was born on January 8, 1945. She was the second child born to the late Edvin Pierre and Idella Dapremont Pierre. Lois was baptized at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Charenton, LA. During the last few years of her life, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Charenton, LA.She was loved by her family, friends, co-workers and people who knew her in the community. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great passion for cooking which she found every opportunity to share with family, friends and the community. She had many jobs in her lifetime and spent her final years at Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton, LA, until she retired. On Thursday, April 23,2026 the angels carried her humbly into the soft peaceful clouds of heaven gates from the Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation of Franklin, LA. The staff of Legacy embraced her as a central part of the family. She was affectionately known as “Suga Mama, Queen, Ma, Grandma, Momo, Ms. Lois and Ms. Toussaint .In 1959, she married her soulmate, Paul Toussaint, Jr. This union brought forth seven children.Lois will forever remain in the hearts of her three sons, Linel Wayne Toussaint (Carla), Lloyd Wade Toussaint (Jamesette), Paul Toussaint, III (Hattie); four daughters, Paula Wanda Toussaint-Dugas (Patrick),Paulette Carlene Toussaint-Fon (Thaddeus), Colette Carlene Toussaint-Bailey (Terrence), Delgena Mechi Toussaint; three sisters, Carol Lockett, Virginia Madison, Nina Martin; three godchildren, Allayna Pierre, Shawndell Milton, Nia Lumpkin; 16 grandchildren; one bonus granddaughter; 9 great-grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends.MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514.
