Lois Evelyn "Joyce" Pardon of Cynthiana, KY, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Lois Evelyn Joyce Pardon, 89, of Cynthiana, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 22,1936, to the late C.V. and Doshie Joyce. Lois was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen T. Pardon; a daughter, Deborah Ann Haleman; brother-in-law, Lewis Pardon, sisters-in-law, Barbara Joyce, and Ruth (Jim) Rice, and son-in-law, Bradley Galde.
Lois found great joy in serving others through Vacation Bible School at Claysville Christian Church. She enjoyed staying active with water aerobics at the YMCA in Paris, cherished a good book, and most of all treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Michael Allen Haleman; daughters, Diana Haleman, and Karen Galde; brother, Don Joyce; grandchildren, Mary Claire (Sean) Cockrell, Samuel (Katrina De Angelis) Hobson, Roger (Nathalie) Galde, and Steven (Tracy) Galde; seven great-grandchildren, two nieces, Amy (Matt) Hoose, and Sara Harrington, Lois was looking forward to the births of a great granddaughter and a great-great granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home with visitation prior to service from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Burial will be private at Shady Grove Cemetery in Shady Grove, KY.
