Loretta Jean White of Bella Vista, AR has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.
These few paragraphs cannot hold a life, but they may carry a memory.
There is no greater gift than the one a parent gives by simply being present.
Loretta Jean White, 85, of Bella Vista passed away April 21. She was born September 17, 1940 in Great Bend, Kansas to John Eugene Bowman and Reta Harper Bowman. Loretta and her husband, Philip White, lived in Northwest Arkansas for 40 years after moving from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She loved sharing outdoor activities and recreation with friends and family, including birdwatching, gardening, skiing, fishing, and golf. She also enjoyed travel and music, including being a member of the Bella Vista Community Church Choir. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Bowman. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Philip of Bentonville; three children: Leslie Masse of Moore, Oklahoma; Kale and Mary White of Jenks, Oklahoma; and John "Jack" and Donna White of Bella Vista; and five grandchildren: Patrick Sawyer, Cory Masse, Madison White, Brandon White, and Dawson White. Visitation and funeral for Loretta will be Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 1:00pm and 2:00pm at Bella Vista Community Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas. The church meal committee will be providing a light meal before the visitation starting at 12:00pm. Loretta's burial will take place later in Pawnee Rock, Kansas.
