Loretta Lynn Dean of Romney, WV has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Behind every name is a life, and behind every life are the people who loved it.

To raise a child is to give the world a future. Loretta did this with care.

Loretta Lynn Dean, 61, of Romney, WV passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her residence.

Born on November 14, 1964 in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roland Heavner and Rosie (Kerns) Heavner.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Dean.

She is survived by her children, April Poling (Johnny) of Buchannon, WV, Donald Dean (Patience) of Moorefield, WV, Davey Dean of Belington, WV, Della Dean (Bradley Coates) of Romney, WV, Kimberly Dean (Brandon Westfall) of Romney, Beverly Wolfe (Jonathon) of Stephen's City, VA, and Ronnie Dean of Romney, 2 brothers, Roland Heavner of Romney and Neil Heavner of Burlington, WV and 11 grandchildren.

Loretta enjoyed crocheting and listening to music. Her family was her pride and joy and she enjoyed spending time with them. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to McKee Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

All arrangements are handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
