Lucy passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Ethete, Wyoming.
Lucy Louise Warren was born on May 29, 1957, in Riverton, Wyoming, the daughter of Leonard J. and Jane Little Ant Warren. She was a lifelong resident of Riverton and the Wind River Reservation, where she remained deeply rooted in her Northern Arapaho heritage. Lucy took great pride in her culture and language, carrying forward traditions and sharing them with those she loved.
She attended school in St. Stephens and later St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana. Lucy was a member of one of the first graduating classes of Wyoming Indian High School, where she and her classmates helped choose the school's original mascot and colors-something she always remembered with pride. She continued her education at Central Wyoming College and also attended college in Spokane, Washington.
At the heart of Lucy's life was her family. She was a devoted homemaker whose home was a place of warmth, care, and togetherness. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love for them was constant and unwavering.
Lucy found joy in both simple pleasures and meaningful traditions. She enjoyed beading, crossword puzzles, and spending time visiting and "cruising around." She loved listening to Alan Jackson, watching Law & Order, and cheering on basketball games. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or quiet moments, Lucy's presence brought comfort and connection to those around her.
Her life was a reflection of love-for her family, her culture, and her community-and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
