Marcia Juanita Murdock of Bountiful, UT, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Marcia Juanita Murdock, age 88, passed away on May 3, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 16, 1938, in Ogden, Utah. She was the oldest of two daughters born to Marvin F. and Zelpha U. Crawford. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from the then-new Ben Lomond High School in 1956. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1960 after attending both Southern Utah University and Utah State University. She taught elementary school and served school administrations her entire working life.In 1959 Marcia married Wayne S. Murdock in the Logan temple and they were later blessed with three sons, Hal (Stacey), Brian (Lisa), and Derek (Gina). She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; his twin brother, Orrice; her brother-in-law, Dan; and her grandson, Tyler. She is survived by her dear sister, Claudette; her three sons and their wives; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three brothers-in-law, David, Stratford, and Lowell.Marcia was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. The highlight of these callings was serving a mission under the Utah Hispanic Initiative with Wayne as her companion. They joyfully served these good people and helped them learn the English language.Marcia absolutely adored her sister, Claudette, her very best friend. They were as close as any sisters could ever be. Marcia was known for her love and service to others and her ability to make those around her feel welcomed and loved.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, UT 84010. A viewing will be held from 8:45-9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral.
