Mary Jorgensen of Mesa, AZ, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

What remains is memory — and the gratitude of those she loved.

Mary held deeply to the Latter-day Saints faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The community of faith holds its own well — and Mary was held.

Mary Sutton Jorgensen of Mesa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2026 at 10:02 AM at Baywood Hospital in Mesa, Arizona, with her loving family at her side.

Mary was born December 7, 1947, in Phoenix, Arizona to Margaret Kersey and Elijah Sutton.

She attended school in Phoenix, graduating from Carl Hayden High School.

She later married Robert Wayne Jorgensen. They raised three sons, Robert Wayne Junior, Thompson Walter, Richard Warren and a daughter, Rhonda Shinn.

Mary loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her many friends. She enjoyed camping and fishing, shopping and going to the movies. She loved gift-giving to everyone and she also enjoyed her many small collections.

Mary resided in the Phoenix/Mesa area her entire life.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert and her son Richard.

Mary is survived by her children, Robert Jorgensen, (RaeLee), of San Tan Valley, Thompson Jorgensen, (Jennifer), of Mesa, Rhonda Shinn, (Timothy), of Kaysville, Utah, as well as 10 Grandchildren, Tayten, Hailey, Traycen and BreckLee Jorgensen. Also, Tipling Witsman, (Steve), Chelsea Shinn, Sarah Barker, (Danny), Melissa Wilding, (Jackson), Timothy Shinn II, Logan Shinn and Jacob Shinn. And, 7 Great Grandchildren.

As well as her partner of 13 years, Michael Richey, with whom she shared a loving relationship. Also surviving is a Brother, Harry Glass, (Amber).

The family will receive guests, Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10 AM with funeral services to follow, conducted by Bishop John Reed at the LDS church, 2559 E. Combs Rd., San Tan Valley, Arizona.
