Mary M Iacovelli of Milford, MA, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.
A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.
Some legacies are not written; they walk the earth, named after those who came before.
Mary M Iacovelli, 74 of Hopedale, passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia on May 4, 2026. Born on October 18, 1951 in Worcester, MA to the late Edward X and Nora M (Costello) Quinn.
Mary raised her children with her former husband, Robert "Boo" Iacovelli in Mendon before moving to Hopedale. They have remained very close friends and he will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her three children: Daniel Iacovelli and his longtime partner Alicia Sayewich of Hopedale and their children Nicholas, Aiden and Alexander; Alicia Hanson and her husband William of Mendon and their children Samantha, Kaylie and Scott; and Timothy Iacovelli of Milford. She also leaves behind a great grandchild Joseph (son of Kaylie).
She also leaves her brothers, Edward Quinn and his wife Maureen, James Quinn and his wife Linda, and her sister Anne Shattuck and her husband Howie; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Bernadette Quinn.
Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Especially around the holidays, where she always made sausage stuffing, cookies, pizza, etc. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, preforming on stage at the local theater, knitting, researching her family history, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
The calling hours will take place Thursday May 7, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.
The Funeral will be held on Friday May 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM, a mass will follow at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Winter St.
The burial will be private on a later date.
