Maxey Wayne Kilmon, age 88 of Castalian Springs, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026.A lifelong resident of Sumner County, Maxey was born on December 25, 1937 to the late Fred A. Kilmon, Sr. and the late Lillie Mai Burton Kilmon.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Kilmon; son, Michael Kilmon; daughter, Roseanne Kilmon; twin sister, Maxene Celsor; and brother, George R. Kilmon.Maxey is survived by his son, James Kilmon (Holly) of Franklin, KY; step-daughters, Susan Napier and Sheila Scull (Mark); granddaughter, Jessie; sister, Robbie Hnilo of Aurora, IL; brothers, Fred Kilmon and Larry Kilmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be conduced on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. from Liberty Baptist Church in Gallatin.
