Michelle R. Neitzel of Versailles, MO has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Michelle R. Neitzel, age 60, of Versailles, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was born September 3, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Joe and Carol (Hicks) Leslie.

On June 8, 1997, in Redlands, California, she was united in marriage to her surviving husband, Chris Neitzel.

Michelle was a devoted member of New Life Assembly of God Church, where her love for God and steadfast faith were the foundation of her life. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and would do anything for them, finding her greatest joy in the time they spent together. Her faith, selfless love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In addition to her husband, Chris, she is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Apodaca, Karisma Brey and Destiny Armstrong; her son, Daniel Armstrong; grandchildren, Bricen Apodaca, Ionna Apodaca and Lydia Wry-Apodaca; her brother, Benny Apodaca; her sister, Tonya Alverez and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Michelle's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 23rd, at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett with Pastor J.D. Montgomery officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Assembly of God Church.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
