Angele Collado

September 14, 1947 – April 24, 2026

Angele Collado lived a life woven with care, patience, and quiet beauty-the kind you only notice when you slow down and look closely. She had a gift for working with her hands, creating intricate fiber crafts that reflected both her skill and her spirit. Whether she was knitting, crocheting, stitching, or piecing together something delicate and detailed, she found joy in the process, and those around her felt that joy too.

She loved being outdoors, especially in the warmth of the sun, tending to her garden and surrounding herself with bright, cheerful flowers. Those blooms felt like an extension of her-vibrant, steady, and full of life.

Family was at the center of everything she did. She cherished time spent together, especially the simple, close-knit moments that turned into lasting memories. Her home was a place of comfort, often filled with the smell of her famous caramel rolls-something no family gathering ever felt complete without.

Angele's faith in Jesus was not something she spoke about loudly; it was something she lived. It showed in her kindness, her generosity, and the way she cared for others. It was deeply personal, quietly guiding her actions and shaping the way she moved through the world.

She had a deep love for music, especially oldies from the 60's. While her well-worn playlists sometimes tested the patience of those around her, they also became part of the soundtrack of family life-familiar, comforting, and unmistakably hers.

For many years, Angele ran a daycare, opening her heart and home to hundreds of children. She cared for them as if they were her own, leaving a lasting imprint on countless lives through her warmth, patience, and steady presence.

She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Catherine Aagenes (whose living spouse is Karl); and by her parents, Richard and Shirley Jacobs. She is survived by her sister, Vicki Berger; her brothers, Richard Jacobs (wife, Cindy) and John Jacobs (wife, Anne); her children, Jon Collado (wife, Kim), Julie Holt (husband David) and Teresa Collado; her seven beautiful grandchildren; Doroteo Collado (wife, Rose) and Darby Collado (wife, Cathy); and her husband of 58 years, Daniel Collado-her constant, her once-in-a-lifetime love, whom she met during a spirited and adventurous chapter of her life in Hawaii, a beginning that would grow into a lifetime together. She was born in Beulah, North Dakota, and grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, finishing her life in Austin, Minnesota with him by her side.

Angele will be remembered not for grand gestures, but for the countless small ones-the stitches, the songs, the shared meals, and the quiet acts of love that filled a lifetime.
