After a life of love and quiet grace, Brenda Phillips of Wartburg, TN has passed.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.

Memory has a way of softening time.

Brenda Sue Phillips, age 67, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2026, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, with her family by her bedside. She was born June 13, 1958, to Reno and Wilma PhillipsShe is preceded in death by her father Reno Phillilps; brothers Elmer, Robert, Jessie, Charles (Duke) and Eddie Phillips; sister-in-law Robin Phillilps and brother-in-law Paul Jones. Grandfather Johnny Hummel and grandmother Pearl Kelly.Brenda is survived by her mother Wilma Phillips; 2 sisters Betty Jones and Wilma (Joe) Higgins; sister-in-law Lori Phillips; brothers Jimmy Phillips, Reno Jr. (Brandy) Phillips and Randy (Cindy) Phillips and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2026 at Schubert Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Byrd Cemetery in Sunbright.Brenda loved going places even if it was just to the doctor’s office. She loved eating KFC and going to Partners Pizza for the salad bar.She will be missed by all who knew her.Schubert Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Brenda Sue Phillips.
