After a life of love and quiet grace, Carol Ann Fitzsimmons of Port Orange, FL has passed.

Carol spent her working life as ['Community Medical Center in Toms River'] and held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Those who live by belief leave a different kind of mark.
Born Carol Ann Dittman January 25,1940 in Paterson, NJ. She graduated from Eastside High School, Paterson, NJ. Attended Ocean County College, Toms River, NJ, studying accounting and business management courses. She married the late Peter J. Fitzsimmons on June 2, 1963. She adored and loved her family deeply.Her life was marked by serving her community selflessly. First as a recording secretary for the East Dover Elementary School PTA as treasurer & vice president. She also served as president of the Toms River Little League Ladies Auxiliary and treasurer of the Merry Makers Women’s Club in Pickwick Village, Port Orange, FL and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange, FL.Carol worked at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ in the Finance Department from 1967-1991 and in the Human Resources Department of Svedala Industries in York, PA from 1992-2000. Carol was certified as a payroll professional by the American Payroll Association. She was voted employee of the month at Community Medical Center and received an award for outstanding service from the medical & dental staff.She is survived by her son, Peter and his wife Toni of Wylie, TX, and son Paul of Mount Joy, PA; 11 grandchildren: Michael (wife Kelly}, Peter, Amanda. Richard, Sean, Joseph (wife Erica), Rebecca, Caleigh, Marissa, Landon, and Summer. Also 8 greatgrandchildren: Evan, Elaina, Anthony, Luke, Easton, Portlyn, Allison and Liam; several nieces and nephews She considered Barb Dunmire of Manheim, PA as an “adopted” daughter.Arrangements for services are being handled with care by Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, located at 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114, 386-267-1100.Carol will be remembered lovingly, respectfully and with admiration by those whose lives she forever touched.
