After a life of love and quiet grace, Dayle D. Roof of Columbus, OH has passed.

The chapters of his life were many; these are some of them.

Love, when given fully, leaves its mark on every life it touches.

Roof, Dayle D., successful businessman who loved harness racing and was an avid gardener. Being outside camping, fishing, golfing, or hunting were things he enjoyed. He even enjoyed cooking. Downtime was spent watching college ball. He lived a great and eventful life. Dayle is preceded in death by his wife, Alene (this past April 17, 2026) his wife of over 70 years and daughter, Nancy. Survived by daughters, Debbie (Tom) Steffan, Kim (David) Fields, grandchildren, Kristen (JD) Lucas, Karly Kutschbach, David Fields III., and Andrew Steffan, great-grandchildren, Demi and Arch Lucas. Visitation, Thursday, May 7, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 Noon at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Pastor Timothy Lee officiating. Interment to follow at Harrison Township Cemetery in South Bloomfield, Ohio. Instead of flowers, the family would like a donation to be made in Dayle's name to Arbors at Carroll, 3680 Dolson Court NW. Carroll, Ohio 43112, they took GREAT care of both Dayle and Alene.Dayle D.
