After a life of love and quiet grace, Dor-yon Isaia McNeil of Bridgeport, CT has passed.

Some stories deserve to be told slowly. This is one of them.

The lessons of a parent travel forward, often without their name attached.

Ms. Dor-yon Isaiah McNeil, 44, of Bridgeport, CT, passed away on April 23, 2026, at Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation at St. Camillus in Stamford, CT.

She was born on May 28,1981, in New York, NY to the late Charles Blair and Donna McNeil-Atkinson. Doryon, also known as Lucy, grew up in Stamford, CT, where she attended Cloonan Middle School, and J.M. Wright Technical and Stamford High Schools. She went on to pursue different paths before finding her passion as a home health aide with Pathways to Living, LLC. She took great pride in her work and was known for her caring and compassionate nature, always giving her patients her full attention.

Dor-yon was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was fiercely protective of her children and those she loved, always putting family first. She had a strong will and worked hard throughout her life, always striving to do better for herself and her family. She also had a playful side and a quick sense of humor. She loved to laugh and joke around, something her grandmother would often fondly correct her for, a memory that those close to her still smile about.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and creating memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. She was raised with the strong influence and love of her grandparents, the late Harrison and Laurette McNeil, who were a guiding presence throughout her life and helped shape the woman she became.

She is survived by her six (6) children: Elijah Raffington, Conri Johnson, Josiyah Raffington, Jah'Air Raffington, Kendrick Montgomery, and Ke-yon Montgomery; two (2) grandchildren, Kaiden Baxter and Elijah Raffington Jr.; four (4) sisters: Yolanda Goodwin, who preceded her in death, Nancy Blair-Nish, Crystal Blair, and Danielle McNeil; three (3) brothers: Jarrell Crawford, Irone Oliver, and Richard Daniels, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great friends.

Dor-yon (Lucy) will be remembered for her strength, her loyalty, her sense of humor, and the deep love she had for her family.

You may pay your respects to the family during a visitation scheduled from 12:00-1:00pm on May 9, 2026, at Graves Medley Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Avenue, Stamford, CT, (203) 323-2666. A memorial service will be held immediately afterwards.
