After a life of love and quiet grace, Emanuel Serstock of Bloomington, MN has passed.

Here is what we wish the world to know of Emanuel.

It is in the silence afterward that we hear how loud a life was.

Mpls, MM - Emanuel A. Serstock

March 25, 1936 - April 24, 2026

If you ever met Emanuel, you remember him. He had a caring heart, a quick wit, and a wonderful sense of humor. Following in the footsteps of his father and brother, Emanuel entered the legal profession. He worked as a police officer in Edina to put himself through law school and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1961. Known as "Manny" among his legal colleagues, he served over the years as a municipal prosecutor and later as a defense attorney in private practice, continuing his work until retiring at the age of 87. Emanuel lived life fully and with purpose. He is survived by his four children - Cindy, Laurie, Susan, and Bryan - as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held this summer.
