It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Beaulahmae Tomas of Cobb, WI — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

A life remembered begins, simply, with the telling.

Beaulahmae held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The traditions Beaulahmae loved will continue to hold those she loved.

Beaulahmae Tomas, age 93 of Cobb, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Beaulahmae was born on February 28, 1933, in Dodgeville to Henry and Florence (Fingerson) Fritsch. She was a graduate of Cobb High School and grew up helping on the family farm. On May 6, 1953, she married the love of her life, Darrell Tomas--together, they built a life on hard work, love, and family. They purchased their farm in 1955 in Eden Township where they raised their children. In 1981, they retired to the Village of Cobb.

Beaulahmae was a dedicated and hardworking woman, known not only as a proud farm wife and mother, but also for her work at The Cheese House in Fennimore and Lands' End. She had a creative spirit and gift for making things beautiful. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, needlework, and had a passion and love for flowers. She and Darrell took great pride in sharing their handmade creations at craft fairs over the years.

She found joy in life's simple moments-camping trips, snowmobiling, and playing cards with friends and family. Above all, Beaulahmae cherished time spent with those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. Her greatest joy was her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrell; her parents; son, Scott Tomas; sons-in-law, Dean Harris and Harold Riemenapp; and her siblings: Marie (Vernon) Gehrke, Kenneth (Josephine and Clarice) Fritsch; Lucille (Gerald) Munns, Lyle (Arloine) Fritsch, Gerald (Rosella "Rosie") Fritsch, Margie Fritsch, Merlyn Fritsch, and Donald "Dwayne" (Elizabeth "Betty") Fritsch.

Beaulahmae is lovingly survived by her four children: Cindi Harris of Blue River, Gary (Susan) Tomas of Livingston, Peggy Riemenapp of Hazel Green, and Pamela (Brian) Pishion of Dodgeville. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lorraine Fritsch; special nephews: Dennis (Teri) Harris, Jerry (Terri) Harris, and Tim (Mel) Harris; and many nieces and nephews whom she truly adored, along with other relatives and dear friends.

Beaulahmae will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity and stories she shared, her strong work ethic, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
