Bobby Dale Conner, 90, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Wichita. Graveside service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance. Bobby was born in rural Ava, MO on January 30, 1936, to the late Viva Inez (Cole) and Eugene Otto Conner. He was a machinist at Boeing for many years and had also owned the Texaco station in Augusta working alongside his family. Bobby was an avid collector of depression glass and enjoyed traveling to shows and selling it as well. He also enjoyed taking care of and fixing up the family farm in Missouri. Sports were another favorite pastime and he loved watching the Missouri Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs as well as spending many years coaching his children's teams. On July 10, 1955 he married Betty Ruth (Toothman) in Ava, MO. He was a loving and devoted husband until her death in 2019. He is survived by: sons, Robert Conner of Oklahoma, and Douglas Conner and wife Patricia of Derby, KS; daughter, Susan Wright and husband Wesley of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Nick Wright (Rebekah), Elisabeth Wright, Catherine Wright, Derrick Conner (Emily), and Daniel Conner (Caytlyn); great grandchildren, Alexander and Ava Wright, Rylee and Andi Conner, Nolan and Weston Conner. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Dale Conner; sisters, Mary Nell Miller, Stella Mae Freeman, and Lura M. Conner; brothers, William Conner, Lloyd Conner, James Conner, and Donald Conner.
