Carl Gene Schubert, 76, of Kasson, Minnesota, passed away on April 22, 2026, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Carl was born on June 7, 1949, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Lawrence and Mary Ellen (Justice) Schubert. He graduated from Cole County R-V High School in Eugene, Missouri, and went on to earn various certifications in computer programming, telecommunications, and computer operations.
Carl dedicated much of his professional life to Clarke Industries, where he was known as a hardworking, knowledgeable, and dependable employee. Outside of work, Carl lived a full life shaped by his many interests and passions.
He enjoyed spending time at places like Berne Pizza, and classic car shows, where he could indulge his love for food, music, and car culture. A devoted sports fan, Carl especially loved college basketball, cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and the University of Iowa, and he was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Carl also had a fondness for tractors, particularly International Harvester and John Deere. He found joy in simple pleasures like reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and listening to a variety of music, especially country music. He was a friend to many dogs through the years and even a few cats.
Those who knew Carl will remember him as loving, thoughtful, and proud of his family. He had a great sense of humor and a sharp mind that made him both engaging and memorable.
Carl is survived by his sons, Robert Ryan (Jennifer) Schubert, James Jason (Helen) Schubert, and Travis Keil Schubert; his beloved granddaughter, Eleanor Schubert; and his siblings, Larry Schubert, Darrell Schubert, Vernon Schubert, Kathy Schubert, Jerry Schubert, Leroy Schubert, Charles Schubert, and Robert Schubert.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Schubert.
Carl's life was one of dedication to his work, his interests, and most importantly, his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
