It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Carletta D. Kuhns of Lake Ariel, PA — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Carletta spent her working life as ['many years at the sweater factory in White Mills'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
The hands that raised children leave fingerprints on the future.
Carletta D. Kuhns, 72, of Lake Ariel, PA passed away peacefully on Friday April 24, 2026 at her daughter's home after her battle with cancer. She was born on August 15, 1953 to the late Charles and Beatrice Kuhns in Walnutport, PA.
Carletta lived for her family. She worked for many years at the sweater factory in White Mills, PA. Later on she went to become a certified nurse aide where she provided care for 22 years at Ellen Memorial Health and Rehab before retiring in 2021. Her greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Kuhns, Robert Kuhns both of Honesdale, PA. Marcia (Richard) Weber of Leighton, PA, and Michelle (Michael) Cook of Scranton Pa. Her grandchildren Devin, Brianna, Tiffani, Krystal, Takoda, Josh, Cheyenne, Elizabeth, Riley, Emmalyn, Michaella. Eight great grandchildren. Brother Larry (Barbara), Carol (Dennis) Eckhart, and Rose Steigerwalt. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation the family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30th, at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale, 5 to 7.
