Celestine Thomas Akard, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, in Union, Kentucky. She was born on July 28, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Celestine spent her early years in Morganfield, Kentucky, where she attended St. Vincent Academy. She later made her home in the Erlanger area, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and simple joys.

She will be remembered most for the special bond she shared with her son, Charles Akard. Together, they found great happiness in listening to classical music and attending concerts, including memorable performances at Riverbend Pavilion. Those moments brought her lasting joy and connection.

Celestine's quiet strength, warmth, and devotion to her loved ones will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at St. Anne Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Celestine's memory to St. Ann Parish.
