It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Clifford Paul Myers of Jennings, LA — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Here is a glimpse of the life he lived, in his family's own remembrance.

Clifford held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Faith is the language some lives are written in. Clifford's was one.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings, LA, for Mr. Clifford Paul Myers, 91, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

A Visitation will take place at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 8:00 AM and continue until his mass begins at 10:00 AM.

The Very Reverend Keith Pellerin, V.F. as main celebrant and Father Trey Ange acting as co-celebrant will be officiating Funeral and Graveside services. Interment will take place in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA.

Clifford was born on August 7, 1934, in Jennings, LA to the late Hillias Myers of Estherwood and Bertha Sensat Myers of Iota. A steadfast, God- fearing man whose life held strong biblical principles, gave his unwavering example to live by, often leaning on his faith above his own understanding. Clifford was a proud member of the Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. He was the former chairperson of the Sacred Heart Parish catechism program, Grand Knight of the Creole KC Council 3014, the first president of the Sacred Heart Chapter as well as the recipient of the Devoted Services medal in Creole, LA. He also served as Eucharist Lay Minister and Lector at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole, LA. Clifford had the immense honor to be confirmed directly by the Holy Father in Rome. He served as Knight of Sylvestri, Order of St. Gregory the Great & Order of St. Charles. Beyond his faith, Clifford was heavily involved in his community, assisting in organizing the Cameron KC Council. He was the former County Agent of Acadia and Cameron parishes and went on to retire as the County Agent of Jefferson Davis parish. Clifford assisted in creating the Cameron Parish Mosquito Control District and served as first president. A humble and servant heart whose memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind.

Clifford is survived by his daughters, Dianne Myers Broussard; sons, Larry Myers (Rebecca) and Cecil Myers; grandchildren, Keith Daley, Scott Myers, Kyle Daley, Alan Myers, Kendell Daley, Tabatha James, and Dean LaFleur; two step granddaughters and one step grandson; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Myers, Mike Myers, and Hillary Myers; sister, Hilda Dietz.

He is preceded in death by his wives, Theresa Thibodeaux Myers and Bernice Myers; parents, Hillias Myers and Bertha Sensat Myers; daughter, Roxanne Myers Hoke; brothers, Calise "CJ" Myers, Lynn Myers DMV and Lawerance "LoLo" Myers.

Pallbearers chosen to honor Mr. Clifford to his final place of rest will be Scott Myers, Alan Myers, Kyle Daley, Nicholas Daley, Kolin Daley, and Kendell Daley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bentley Daley and Luca Daley.
