It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Clifton McQueen of Laurinburg, NC — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Clifton held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew them best.
The traditions Clifton loved will continue to hold those they loved.
Clifton McQueen, 83, Wagram departed this life on April 29, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church. Internment will follow in the McQueen Family Cemetery, Wagram. A viewing will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Purcell Funeral Home. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
