It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of DONALD B. LARUE of Estill Springs, TN — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.
What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.
The heart keeps better records than the calendar.
DONALD BRYAN LARUE, age 89, of the Keith Springs Community in Belvidere, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Hayti, MO, he was the son of the late William Bryan and Mabel Maxine Hutchins LaRue. Mr. LaRufe had ten brothers and sisters. He was a U S Air Force Veteran and attended the Owl Hollow Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, being outside listening to the birds and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Long.
Mr. LaRue is survived by his wife, Sharon Bledsoe LaRue of Belvidere; daughters, Tamara Watkins (James) of Joplin, MO, Kim Pruitt of Iowa and Rebecca LaRue-Stephens (Williiam) of Belvidere; grandchildren, Katie Norris (Justiin Bowling) of MN, Morgan Norris of MN, Bryan Stanton (Liz) of Iowa, Kelbi Stanton of Iowa, Toni Jean Biery of Winchester, TN, Donny McDowell (Sarah) of Carl Junction, MO, Stephanie McDowell of Webb City, MO, Dustin Eastin (Alana) of Grandby, MO, Jazmin Hickman (Jared) of PLeasantville. Iowa, Irie Robinson (Zack Houseman) of Mingo, Iowa, Dylan Stephens (Cortney) of Belvidere and Mathew Stephens (Karas Cowley) of Chattanooga; twenty-two great grandchildren; brother-in-law, David Bledsoe of Campbell, MO and sister-in-law, Suzie McArthor of Swifton, AR.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 3 PM at Owl Hollow Church of Christ.
