Edward A. Hamoeller, age 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Born in the tropical beauty of Honolulu, Hawaii, Ed moved to Illinois as a child, where he earned his degree from Aurora University. He went on to establish a respected professional career at Clare Holdings, where his dedication and quiet reliability earned him the esteem of his colleagues.
Ed was a man who appreciated the quiet rewards of a life well-lived. He was an avid gardener, finding his greatest peace while working in the earth and tending to his plants with a meticulous care that mirrored his character. When he wasn't in his garden, Ed was often found behind the wheel of his Jeep. To him, the Jeep was more than just a vehicle; it was a symbol of freedom and his love for the open road.
Above all, Ed was a steady and devoted presence for his family. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his sister, Cathy; his brother, Chris (Karen); and his beloved niece, Brookelyn, who held a truly special place in his life. He will be remembered as a man of great depth and gentle strength-a gardener of the earth, a traveler of the road, and a beloved son, brother, and uncle.
Family and friends are invited to gather for services on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at St. Patrick's Mission Church, located at 6N487 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL 60175.
