Geraldine Jordan, 74, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, was born January 21, 1952, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to James and Ruby (Poteete) Fryer and passed away May 3, 2026, in Muskogee.
Geraldine retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after eight years of steady service as a claim's assistant.
She had a spunky, sweet spirit that lit up a room. Geraldine found peace in the simple joys of working in her garden and watching her hummingbirds just outside her door. She enjoyed going out for drives, a way she liked to relax and spend her evenings. She loved being a Meme to her grandkids, one of her proudest titles in life. Above all, she treasured her family and friends, holding close every memory and the good times they shared. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is now reunited with her parents, James and Ruby (Poteete) Fryer; her brother, Jimmy Fryer; her sister, Mary Sundquist; some of her beloved nieces and nephews; and her precious dog, Stella.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Angie Gioletti, and husband, Michael of Muskogee, OK; her son, Chance Bates and wife Cassie of Tahlequah, OK; her granddaughters, Kylie Gioletti and Breanna Gioletti both of Muskogee, OK, and Kynlee Bates of Tahlequah, OK; her grandsons, Nathan Taylor, of Tahlequah, OK, and Jesse Bates of Tahlequah, OK; her sister, Vera Reese of Muskogee, OK; her brother, Donald "Don" Fryer of Muskogee, OK; extended family and many friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Muskogee with the family receiving friends from 2PM - 4PM.
Geraldine's life will be celebrated with a private family service.
