The hands that raised children leave fingerprints on the future.

Gregory Alan Johnson, affectionately known as Greg, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Belleville, Michigan, at the age of 69. Born on May 26, 1956, in Willard, Ohio, Greg lived a life full of passion, adventure, and love.

Greg dedicated his career to the automotive industry as an Autobody Specialist, where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impact. His love for cars extended beyond his profession; it was a lifelong passion. Greg found joy in working on cars, slot car racing, bike riding, and snowmobiling. However, nothing compared to his love for his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Together with his beloved wife, Kendra, Greg embarked on countless journeys, exploring the beauty of the Grand Canyon, the vibrant city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the serene landscapes of the Florida Keys. His annual participation in the 'JW Downhome Cruise' to Kentucky was a cherished tradition, celebrating family and togetherness.

Greg's presence was unmistakable; he had an 'over the top' personality that left an indelible impression on everyone he met. Known for his motto, "He worked hard but partied harder," Greg's zest for life was infectious.

In 1977, Greg and Kendra began their journey together, culminating in marriage on October 1, 1983. They shared 42 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Greg is preceded in death by his father, John Johnson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kendra Johnson, and their five children: Scott (Jeanette) Smith, Gregory (Toletia) Lynn, Michael (Joselyn) Johnson, Stephanie (Andrew) Waldron, and Amy (Thomas) Zeig. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Ally, Nate, Tip, Landon, and Henry. Greg is survived by his mother Juanita Johnson, two sisters, Patti (Keith) Konarska and Cyndi Stanhope, his brother Chip Johnson, and numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
