Jackie Fay Stacy-Miller, 58, of Austin, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026.
She was born November 21, 1967, in Jackson, Alabama, the daughter of the late Jacky Ray Stacy and Wilma J. (Gibson) Stacy. Jackie carried the values of family, faith, and perseverance throughout her life, and those who knew her will remember her for the love and strength she shared with the people around her.
Jackie married Robert James Miller, who survives. Their marriage was an important part of her life, and she treasured the companionship, support, and shared memories they built together. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife whose presence brought comfort and warmth to her family. Jackie found joy in being surrounded by those she loved, and her family was the center of her world.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughters, Esther Holbrook, Hope Thornsbury, Alice Shepherd, and Lisa Holbrook; her brothers, Douglas Stacy and Newell Stacy; and several grandchildren. Jackie's family will always carry forward the memory of her love, her encouragement, and the special way she made each person feel valued. Her grandchildren brought her great happiness, and she cherished the time she spent with them.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Stephanie Collins; and her brother, Raymond Stacy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana, with Rev. Jacob Howell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
