Jani came to the United States in 2001, bringing with him a lifetime of memories, wisdom, and devotion to his family. He embraced his new home while continuing to hold close the traditions and values that had always been central to his life. He enjoyed gardening, and watching his garden grow. He also treasured spending time with his family and grandchildren, and these moments brought him great joy and fulfillment.

He was the cherished Papu to Yanni Sholla and Alex Sholla. He was also the brother of the late Eleni Sholla and Liliana Sholla. In addition, he is survived by several nephews, cousins, and friends who will all remember him with affection and gratitude.
