Kimberly held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Kimberly Ann "Kim" Reed, 45, of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born July 3, 1980 in Lansing, Kansas. She earned her GED in the early 2000's.
Kim was united in marriage to Darrell Shawn Reed on July 7, 1998 at Coco Beach, Florida. They shared over twenty-seven years of marriage. From this union two children were born, Shawn and Abrina Reed.
Kim worked from home as a Medical Transcriptionist for over twelve years. Besides being a Mom, loving on her kids, she will be remembered as the biggest Chiefs Fan out there! She loved God, loved her animals and loved to garden. Kim's favorite color was purple.
Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents.
Surviving family includes her husband, Darrell Reed of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn Reed and Ashlyn Brown of Ottawa, KS; a daughter, Abrina Reed of Lawrence, KS; her mother and step-father, Ramona & Rick Higley of Basehor, KS; and a brother, Joey Anders of Basehor, KS.
To Celebrate Kim's Life, funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS. The family will receive friends before the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
