Marcia Schneiderman. 79, of Dakota Dunes, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.Marcia was born on Saturday, May 25, 1946, to Dale and Berloris Maxwell of George, Iowa. She attended Little Rock Iowa Schools and graduated in 1964. She then went on to get her physical education degree from Mankato State College (now known as Minnesota State) and started teaching in Sibley, Iowa. Marcia and her high school sweetheart were married on December 22, 1967 and later moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where she taught physical education at Mater Dei schools in Morningside and coached freshman volleyball and girls' golf at Heelan High school. They were blessed with two children and 4 grandsons.Surviving are her husband, BJ of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; children, Jim (Hollee) of Cary, North Carolina and their sons, Jack and Max, Teri (Brad) March of Lawton, Iowa, and their sons, Brady and Myles; brothers, John (Paula) Maxwell of Ashton, Iowa and ElDon (Mary) Maxwell of Rock Rapids, Iowa; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents.In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made out to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.Immediately following the Memorial Service, which is only for immediate family and close friends, Marcia's life will be celebrated at Whispering Creek Golf Club, 6500 Whispering Creek Dr, Sioux City, IA 51106. The family would like for everyone to come and celebrate.
