It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Mary Olguin Tijerina of Victoria, TX — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Mary held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
The traditions Mary loved will continue to hold those she loved.
Mary Olguin Tijerina age 89, passed away on Saturday May 2, 2026, she was born on July 18, 1936 in Mc Faddin, Tx to the late Pedro Olguin and the late Juanita Olguin (Cordova). She is survived by daughters; Patricia (Mark) Enriquez of Victoria, Tx, Diana (David) Lentz of Victoria, Tx, Deborah (Charles) of San Antonio, Tx, Linda Tijerina-Acosta of Victoria, Tx, and Consuelo "Connie" Tijerina of Victoria, Tx. Son; Henry (Sandra) Tijerina Jr. of San Antonio, Tx. Mary is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Henry Tijerina Sr., sisters; Anita Licerio, Guadalupe Reyes and Dolores Figueroa, brothers; Jesus Olguin, Manuel Olguin and Tranquilio (Pete) Olguin.
Pallbearers; Henry III, Pablo, Edward, David, Mark Jr. and Steban. Honorary Pallbearers; Brian, Kanaan, Kobin, Fielder, and Franco.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 7, 2026 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Victoria, Tx. Visitation will continue on Friday May 8, 2026 at 8:15 AM with a Funeral Mass to begin at 9:00 AM at Santisima Trinidad Catholic Church. Burial to follow at DeLaGarza Cemetery.
