Mr. Melvin "Mel" Grant, Sr., 82, of Ladson, SC, formerly of (Davison Road) Ravenel, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was born to the late Vermell Fuzz Grant and the late Paul Luke Grant, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children Dwight Grant of North Charleston, SC, Felicia Grant (Anthony) Coakley of Goose Creek, SC and Edward "Greg" (Llarue) Goodwine of Lincolnville, SC, daughter-in-law, Valvey (late Melvin "Clay" Jr) Grant of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Fredericka G. (late George, Sr.) Washington, Hattie G. (Joseph) Murray, Ethelee Grant, and Angelette G. (Anthony) Capers; sister-in-law, Bessie S. (late Paul, Jr.) Grant, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
