Some doors close softly, and still leave the room changed.
Olivia Garland was born June 3, 1969, and passed away May 4, 2026, at the age of 56. She will be remembered as an exceptional homemaker and a woman of many talents. In the kitchen, she found joy in bringing people together through food. Her enchiladas, rich and flavorful, were a family favorite, while her chicken alfredo and spaghetti dishes became cherished traditions at gatherings and celebrations. Cooking was not just a skill for her, it was an expression of love. Beyond the kitchen, she was a gifted seamstress whose hands could turn simple fabric into beautiful creations. Whether mending, designing, or crafting, she poured patience and care into every stitch. Her love for gardening reflected her gentle and nurturing nature. With a true green thumb, she transformed ordinary spaces into vibrant, blooming sanctuaries. She found peace among her plants and took pride in helping things grow and flourish. She is survived by her husband, Jason Garland; and daughter, Xochitl Garland. Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
