Peter John Wilson, age 82, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Born in New York, NY on April 11, 1944, he was a son of the late John Warner and Marion (Buleau) Wilson. Peter proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He made his career as the vice president of marketing at a pharmaceutical company. Peter also enjoyed being the owner of a deli, The Parrot, in Highlands, NJ for over 10 years.
An avid sports fan, Peter loved watching basketball and baseball. He had a passion for music and loved to sing. His wit, charm, and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Anne (Halka) Wilson. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Wilson (Mallory Arnold) and Daniel Wilson (Lisa); and grandchildren, Maxwell Wilson, Nathaniel Wilson, Lilith Wilson, Isla Wilson, Theodore Wilson and Ivy Wilson.
A committal service will begin at 11 am on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
