Robert "Casey" F. Casebolt
1943-2026
Robert "Casey" F. Casebolt, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026.
He was born April 1, 1943, to Georgia (Fitzpatrick) and Clarence Casebolt in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Casey was known for his kindness, his humor, and the way he carried himself with dignity and humility in all that he did.
He was a proud graduate of Orrick High School, and after completing his education, he answered the call to serve his country in the United States Air Force. He dedicated 20 years of service to the USAF before retiring.
Casey was a man of many interests and meaningful associations. He was a member of American Legion Post 359, American War Dads, Lions Club, Veterans Committee, and Kingdom Hall Church. These affiliations were important to him because they reflected his loyalty to community, country, and faith.
Those who knew Casey will remember him as a very honorable man with a big heart. He did not like to ask for help and was very private about his business, but he was always willing to help others without being asked. He showed up for people in countless ways, whether by mowing yards for family, neighbors, friends, and church, or by simply being present when someone needed him.
Casey enjoyed bowling, playing pool, softball, hunting, and fishing. He also loved dogs and found joy in their companionship. He had a great sense of humor and was known for his quick wit and memorable response whenever someone asked how he was feeling. He would often reply, "with my fingers," a line that brought smiles and laughter to many.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and nine siblings, Clearence Jr., Georgia, Ella Mae, Clara, Rosie, Jimmmie, Beverly, Henry and Nancy.
Survivors include his daughter Katina; grandchildren, Corinne and Aiden; great-granddaughter, Harper; sister, Fern Hill; several nephews and nieces; and many family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
