It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Rudolph "Rudy" DiNardo of Canonsburg, PA — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

What you read below is one part of a life lived with quiet purpose.

A name is a small thing to hold a whole life.

Rudolph "Rudy" DiNardo, of Canonsburg, PA, passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born on September 1, 1937, he was the son of the late Mary and Rodolfo DiNardo.

Rudy was the beloved husband of Paulette DiNardo, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful and loving family that was the center of his life.

He was a devoted father to John (Lisa) Rosta, Janene (Jeff) Jost, and Jason (Gina) DiNardo. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Sean, Gina, and Eric Rosta; Jack and Jessica Jost; and Dante and Roman DiNardo. He is also survived by his brother, David (Brenda) DiNardo, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Rudy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Christopher DiNardo.

Rudy was a man who was truly loved by everyone who knew him, kind, warm, and incredibly likable. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, gardening, and making homemade wine by the barrel. He took great pride in crafting prosciutto and traditional soppressata sausage, sharing these traditions with family and friends. One of his greatest passions was his annual elk hunting trip out west with close friends, a tradition he cherished deeply.

He was the owner of Mac Plastics in Washington, PA, where he built not only a successful business but lasting relationships. Rudy was also an active member of the Figs Club, the Italian American (ITAM) Club, and a lifelong member of the Muse in Houston.

A special highlight in his later years was a memorable trip to Italy three years ago with his wife Paulette and their late son Chris, a journey that held deep meaning for him and his family.
