Stanley B. Davis II, age 70, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away suddenly on April 23, 2026. Born on July 27, 1955 in a Chicago suburb, Stan moved around the country as a child due to his father's government contract work before settling in Melbourne when he was in first grade. He attended Ruth Henegar Elementary, Central Junior High, and graduated from Melbourne High School in 1973. A hard worker from a young age, Stan started his own lawn care business at ten years old in Trailer Haven mobile home park. In high school he worked as a dishwasher and short-order cook at Macquarie's restaurant in Brevard Mall, where he met the love of his life, Nancy. They dated for a year, married, and shared 53 beautiful years together filled with love, loyalty, cruises, and quiet devotion. Stan dedicated 35 years of his career to Harris Corporation before medically retiring in 2016. He was known for his incredible work ethic - often holding multiple jobs early on - so his family would never go without. He was a devoted husband, father, and the ultimate grandfather. Stan poured his heart into his sons Louis and Phil, teaching them patience, hard work, and loyalty. His grandkids - LJ, Isabel, Christian, and Eli - were his greatest joy. He spent countless days taking them to breakfast, lunch, Disney, SeaWorld, shopping, movies, and cheering them on at countless soccer, football, and sports games. Stan loved the simple things: fishing and hunting as a young man in Mississippi, cruising with family and friends, and especially his dogs - rocking Muffin in the chair at night, taking Emma on every car ride, and spoiling their little Frenchie. Even through health challenges in his later years, Stan faced everything with quiet strength and continued showing up for the people he loved. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy; his brother Jeffery Davis; sons Louis (and family) and Phil (and family); and grandchildren LJ, Isabel, Christian, and Eli. Services will be held at Advent Lutheran Church on Friday May1st at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Stan's memory to [charity if desired], or simply spend time with those you love - the way Stan always did. Stan lived a life of deep, steady love. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home P.A. is honored to serve the family of Stanley B. Davis II.
