It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Suzanne "Pepin" Bauer of West Dover, VT — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.
What follows is a brief look at the life her family wishes to share.
Suzanne spent her working life as ['hairdresser before moving to West Dover'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
The hands that raised children leave fingerprints on the future.
Suzanne Pepin Bauer, 66, of West Dover, VT, passed away on April 26, 2026 surrounded by peace and love after a strong 12 year battle with brain cancer.
Suzanne was born on October 12, 1959, in Meriden, CT to Richard Pepin and Marguerite Anderson. After graduating from Cromwell High School in 1977, Suzanne worked as a hairdresser before moving to West Dover, VT to work in sales at Mount Snow Ski Resort. After fighting cancer the first time in 2014, Suzanne pursued her passion and established Suzanne Bauer Photography. Throughout her diverse work experience Suzanne was determined to endlessly provide for her family.
Suzanne will continue to be loved by her two children, Brendan Bauer, of West Dover, VT, and Mallory Bauer and her partner, Hannah Toomey, of Northampton, MA. As well as her mother, Marguerite Pepin, of New Britain, CT, her brother, Richard Pepin Jr. and his wife Melissa Shipley-Pepin and their daughter Emma Pepin, of Middletown, CT.
Suzanne is remembered for her outrageous humor, unconditional love, endless generosity, and impressive creativity. She avidly loved her children and their passions of motocross racing and horseback riding. We will all miss her loving personality greatly.
Visiting hours will be held at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT on May 16th from 9:00-11:00am, as well as a celebration of life at the Dover Town Hall in West Dover, VT on October 3rd at 12:00pm. We ask that loved ones send photos to LoveIsHealing2026@gmail.com and donations to the Friends of the Valley Foundation, Deerfield Valley Community Cares, or Twice Blessed.
