It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Timothy Robert Rockwell of Barnesville, OH — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Here is what mattered, in the years between the dates.

Timothy spent his working life as ['truck driver for Village Hardware &amp'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

The years gathered, as years do, into a life.

Timothy R. Rockwell, 59, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He was born on December 12, 1966, in Bellaire, Ohio to Robert J. and Loisanne (Berger) Rockwell of Barnesville.Tim was a 1985 graduate of Barnesville High School and worked as a truck driver for Village Hardware & Rental. Tim was a man who truly loved life and everyone in it. His infectious smile and kind heart followed him everywhere. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Tim was the kind of man who would drop whatever he was doing — no matter the time or distance — to help anyone in need. Whether fixing cars, tractors, or anything else, he worked tirelessly from dawn until dark, always smiling, always willing, and always putting others first. For decades, Tim poured his heart into the Barnesville community. Tim also loved riding his Harley when time allowed. He began serving the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival by running the parade for eight years, then served as Vice President for two years, and proudly served as President since 2009. He worked year-round behind the scenes — repairing, building, planning, and problem-solving — and also helped the city with “Fun in the Ville” and countless other local needs. His calm leadership, endless energy, and deep commitment made the festival and the entire community better, and his impact will be felt for years to come. Nothing brought Tim more joy than his family. He loved them fiercely and cherished spoiling his granddaughters. In addition to his parents, Bob and Loisanne, Tim is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tracey Kay (Childs) Rockwell; daughters, Heather (Phillips) Michael of New Orleans, Louisiana and Erica (John) Geremia of Barnesville; granddaughters, Riley Michael and Isabella “Izzy” Geremia; sister, Lisa (Dan) Johnston of Barnesville; nephew, Daniel Johnston; and niece, Paige (Keith) Stalvey.Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
