After a life of love and quiet grace, Gary L. Binkley of Mount Morris, MI has passed.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of his story.

The lessons of a parent travel forward, often without their name attached.

Gary Lee Binkley

Age 75, of AuGres, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2026, in Standish, Michigan. Gary was born to the late Grover and Dewey (Hurn) Binkley on January 24, 1951, in Flint, Michigan. He spent his childhood years in Columbiaville, Michigan, and following his high school graduation he attended trade school to become a machine repairman. Gary entered the workforce as a machine repairman for General Motors. He spent 30 hardworking years with the company before his retirement in 1998. Gary also worked as a network administrator in the Kearsley School System for 10 years.

Gary married the love of his life, Rosemary (Worrell) Binkley, on March 21, 1973. The two of them had the opportunity to share 53 incredible years together taking on life and making endless memories. The couple raised a family of two children, both of whom Gary adored dearly. His family was his world, and he enjoyed spending every chance he could with them. Gary had several hobbies which consisted of jeep riding, boating, fishing, reading, writing, martial arts, listening to music, working on old cars, wine, and most importantly spending quality time with his family and grandchildren. He was a proud member of the East Arenac Sportsman Club, the Cycle Conversation Club, and was a former president of the Genesee Valley Trail Riders Association.

In 2006, Gary and Rosemary retired to their home in AuGres, Michigan. They enjoyed being in the woods and the change of pace lifestyle that the community provided them. Over time they integrated themselves into the town of AuGres and were proud to call it their home. Gary was a very loving, honest, hardworking, and active man, and he will be missed dearly by many.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rosemary Binkley; children, Zac (Becky) Binkley and Sarah (Kevin) Kelly; grandchildren, Xavier Binkley, Jaedyn Binkley, Eoin Kelly, Connor Kelly, Gavin Kelly, and Emersyn Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.
