After a life of love and quiet grace, John Alexander Mueller of Port Washington, WI has passed.

What remains is memory — and the gratitude of those he loved.

John held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Those who live by belief leave a different kind of mark.

John Alexander Mueller passed away on April 27, 2026, in Port Washington, Wisconsin. John was born on April 2, 1963, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, to John Bartholomew and June Marie Mueller.

John was raised in West Chicago before buying his first home in Elburn, and spending time in Maple Park and Sycamore as well. He attended Saint Mary's Catholic Grade School where he actively participated in both basketball and soccer before graduating in 1977. He graduated from West Chicago High School in 1981 and was an all-conference honorable mention football player for the Wildcats in 1980 & 1981.

He was a contractor who owned his own construction business and loved working on machines and tinkering with and fixing things.

John was the world's greatest outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, and driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved country western music; Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, and the Dixie Chicks were among his favorites. He was also very strong in his faith, attending mass regularly.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and June Mueller.

He is survived by his siblings; Thomas Mueller (Melissa Solis), Jeanne (David) Turnquist, Brian Mueller, James (Karen) Mueller, and Janet (Bruno) Primas; nieces and nephews, Robbie, Thomas, Ashley, Alex, Neenah, Hayley, and Johnny.
