After a life of love and quiet grace, Josie Conner of Vidalia, GA has passed.

Ms. Josie Micha Conner, age 25, of Lyons, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Wellstar Health System in Augusta, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a native of Lyons, spent ten years in Treutlen County before returning to Lyons, and was a 2019 graduate of Toombs County High School. Josie had a passion and a gift for being a professional shopper at January's Boutique and Warehouse in Vidalia while also working at Toombs County Middle School. She was a member of Vidalia Church of God and had a loving heart that was full of compassion for all cats and dogs, especially her beloved dog, "350". She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Irby Lashley; paternal grandfather, Joe Hal Conner, Sr.; brother, Lash Lee Chambers; and cousin, Brittany Ussery.
Ms. Josie is survived by her mother, January Chambers and husband Shannon of Lyons; father, Joe Conner and wife Jennifer of Glenwood; two sisters, Janna Conner Collins and husband Colby of Lyons and, Jesel "Jessie" Conner of Lyons; seven stepsiblings, Darrin Chambers of Cedar Crossing, Tabitha "Tabby" Haynes and husband Josh of Uvalda, Bryce Blocker and wife Casey of Gordon, Drew Harpe of Statesboro, Kade Harpe of Statesboro, and John Pate Leverett of Glenwood; her loving boyfriend, Matt Comeau of Macon; maternal grandparents, Lynn Lashley of Santa Claus with Wesley Beasley of Oak Park, and Ronnie and Sue Chambers of Uvalda; paternal grandmother, Marie Conner of Vidalia; six precious nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, May 6th, from 4:00 until 8:00 at Wilkes Funeral Home.
The Celebration of her Life will be held Thursday, May 7th, at 4:00 pm in the auditorium at Toombs County High School with Pastor Bobby Thompson and Pastor Ronnie Saxon officiating. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family has asked that everyone wear bright and vibrant colors to commemorate her.
